What We Do
A Legacy of Agriculture and Hard Work
Boerboom Ag is a third-generation family farming operation based in southwest Minnesota. Owned and operated by siblings Mike, Matt, and Laurie Boerboom, our operation is focused on raising pigs, feed manufacturing, grain buying, and working with local farmers throughout the region.
Over the years, our farm has grown and changed, including the transition of ownership from Greg and Paula Boerboom to the next generation. While agriculture continues to evolve, our approach remains the same, work hard, build strong relationships, and do right by the people we work with every day.
We're proud of what we've built and look forward to continuing to support agriculture across southwest Minnesota for years to come.
Our Story
The Boerboom family has been farming in Lyon County since 1936, when John and Theresa Boerboom purchased the original home farm in Stanley Township. Like many farms of that era, the operation was diversified and built around a strong work ethic and a dedication to agriculture.
In 1981, Greg and Paula Boerboom took over the family farm and continued growing the operation with a focus on livestock and crop production. Over time, their passion for raising pigs helped shape the direction of the farm and laid the foundation for what Boerboom Ag is today.
Between 2008 and 2013, Mike, Matt, and Laurie returned to the family farm, bringing the third generation into the operation. Today, they continue to lead Boerboom Ag while building on the legacy created by the generations before them.
